At 94Wh, the latest 9-cell Ni2040 or Ni2020 models have similarly stored energy to this 9-cell model all in a package that is 25% smaller and lighter. We recommend these models for any new designs. An alternative for existing designs. This model uses the same plastic case, but only 9 cells instead of twelve cells which is a 25% lighter option than the NL2050. The Ri2050 is capable for low temperature applications as it can perform as low as -20°C. (Note, in cases of low temperature applications, we strongly recommend testing in your specific application). 

Also, with its 8A discharge capability, the Ri2050 is ideally suited as a small “hot-swap” battery to hold up the device for a brief period while the main battery is charged.
