Lex Jacobs

As Managing Director, Lex retains responsibility for the overall operations of Inspired Energy. Previously, Lex served as the Director of Moltech Power Systems' Smart Battery Business Unit and as a Smart Battery Technology Manager providing him with extensive knowledge of smart battery systems, battery design and process engineering.

Lex began his career in production/process engineering in the consumer electronics and opto-electronics industries. He holds a degree in Applied Physics from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Masters Degree in Systems Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Lex has three filed patents for inventions in battery design.

Dave Baggaley

Serving as Inspired Energy's Director of Sales & Marketing, Dave calls upon his many years of experience in Sales and Marketing as well as his extensive technical knowledge of the portable electronics industry. Previously, Dave served as the Director of Marketing for Moltech Power Systems and the Portable Electronics Product Manager for it's former owner, Energizer Power Systems.

Dave began his work in this industry in 1986 with General Electric Rechargeable Batteries as a Production Engineer and in the years following held positions as Technical Marketing Manager and Sales Manager. Dave holds an Honors Degree in Minerals Engineering from the University of Birmingham and has three patents filed for his battery design innovations.

Ricky Hudson

As Director of Technology, Ricky works to ensure that Inspired Energy continuously offers its clients only the best in cell technology and electronics design. As a Technical Engineer for both Moltech and Energizer, Ricky worked specifically to design and develop electronics for advanced smart battery systems.

Ricky's previous work with Texas Instruments as an Engineering Technician has provided him with extensive knowledge of electronics design and the electronics industry. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the School of Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas. Ricky has four patents filed for his developments in battery electronics.

Gene Kropp

As Director of Operations, Gene is dedicated to the development and maintenance of superior manufacturing practices and processes. With 13 years of experience in mechanical and production engineering, Gene has previously worked as a Senior Engineer for Moltech Power Systems and Energizer Power Systems introducing flexible manufacturing into the assembly process, developing new machinery and maintaining quality, performance, timeline and budgeting for new product introductions.

Gene came to the battery industry from Lukens Steel Group where he worked as a machine designer and engineering supervisor. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University.
